History of
Pacific Masonic Lodge

The Pacific Masonic Lodge UD was originally named as REINA MASONIC LODGE; then it became REINAPOL MASONIC LODGE UD, until finally it was renamed PACIFIC MASONIC LODGE UD.

The PACIFIC MASONIC LODGE UD was established in Quezon Province particularly located at Purok Kapayapaan Brgy. Tongohin, Infanta, Quezon under MD R-IV Quezon – Marinduque.

The Town of INFANTA is a First Class Municipality in the Province of Quezon. It is called the Gateway to the Pacific and located 144 kilometers North East of Manila. It is also the center of the economic activity in the Northern part of Quezon, It is bounded on the North and North West by General Nakar, on the East and South East by Polillo (Group of Islands) Strait and Lamon Bay. On the South by Real Quezon and on the West by the provinces of Rizal and Laguna.

The Municipality of INFANTA has a land area of 342.76 square kilometers and has 76,186 people in Population. It is composed of 36 Barangays. This town has been called BINANGONAN DEL AMPON by a visiting Frenchman in 1879. The name was later changed to INFANTA in honor of the eldest daughter of KING PHILIP II of Spain.

The name REINAPOL which is the former name of PACIFIC MASONIC LODGE UD, stands for Real, Infanta, Genaral Nakar, and Polillo Group of Islands, It was later on changed into PACIFIC MASONIC LODGE UD since the word PACIFIC is very relevant to the place.

Pacific Ocean on the other hand is the largest and deepest ocean on the planet. It was named by the explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1520 as he sailed through a calm patch of water on the ocean. The name PACIFIC came from the Latin word “PACIFICUS” which means TRANQUIL or PEACEFUL.

Region IV-South Luzon Lodges where PACIFIC MASONIC LODGE UD will be under its jurisdiction has (7) seven Lodges namely: Rizal Masonic Lodge No. 20, Balintawak Masonic Lodge No. 28, Kalilayan Masonic Lodge No. 37, Tayabas Masonic Lodge No. 43, Plaridel Masonic Lodge No. 74, Moriones Masonic Lodge No. 399, and Filipinas Bondoc Peninsula Masonic Lodge No. 465.

The Petitioners (Charter Members) deemed it proper that a Masonic Lodge in the Municipality of INFANTA be organized and instituted for the benefit of Master Masons particularly those residing in that area and the whole of Masonry in general.
